Lagoscopie #03 - La tigritude

En 1962, le célèbre écrivain Wole Soyinka (futur prix Nobel de littérature) critique le concept de négritude élaboré entre autres par Senghor, pour lui substituer un concept plus audacieux et revendicatif : celui de tigritude !

“A tiger does not shout its tigritude : it pounces. A tiger in the jungle does not say : i am a tiger. Only on passing the tiger’s hunting ground and finding the skeleton of a gazelle do we feel the place abound with tigritude ”* (en résumé : "un tigre ne proclame pas sa tigritude : il bondit" !)
